Thanks To Yanks hosted a Free Magic Show at Hanscom Air Force Base on Saturday February 7, 2015.  Magician, Tommy James entertained approximately 200 guests of all ages.  This was Tommy’s 4th performance for Thanks To Yanks, but our first ever at Hanscom.  During the show, we provided fresh popped popcorn.  A huge thank you goes out to Conor Sweet, a Boy Scout from Troop 1 Mendon, who manned the popcorn machine among other tasks.  After the show, we provided an ice cream sundae bar for all the guests.  Friendly’s Ice Cream generously donated 18 gallons of ice cream, chocolate sauce and rainbow sprinkles.    Joanne Wheeler, Gold Star Mother, graciously spent the day with us topping off the sundaes with whipped cream and lots of smiles.  Thanks To Yanks Board of Director members Amy Neves, Donnalee Shain, Michael Shain and Laurie Sweet kept things moving greeting, scooping ice cream and chocolate sauce.  We couldn’t have been happier being able to provide this opportunity to the families of our military.  They deserve our appreciation and gratitude.
