We welcome donations of items to be sent to our troops overseas. Suggestions include: socks, personal hygiene items, snacks, games, first aid supplies. A complete listing can be found at carepacks.org and link to wish list.

Tickets are FREE but limited and must be reserved by noon Friday January 27th, by emailing your request to mshain@charlesriverbank.com with the number of tickets needed. You will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Storm cancellations will be announced by 11 a.m. at www.thankstoyanks.org and Thanks to Yanks Facebook page.

Thanks to Yanks Presents Free Children’s Magic Show

Michael Shain, a Milford resident, founder and chairperson of Thanks to Yanks, is pleased to announce another event that pays tribute to and honors the sacrifices that military families make on a daily basis. On Sunday January 29thh a free family children’s magic show featuring Ed Popielarczyk’s Magical moments will take place at The Stacy Middle School Auditorium, Milford Ma.

All military and non-military families with children are welcome to attend this event at no charge. The doors open at 12:45pm.

Tickets are free, but are limited and need to be reserved by noon Friday January 27th, by e-mailing mshain@charlesriverbank.com with the number of tickets you are requesting. You will receive an e-mail back, confirming your reservations. The show starts at 1:15 p.m. and will end at approximately 2:00 p.m. We invite and encourage those who attend to bring items that will be sent overseas to be used by our troops. A list of needed items can be found online at carepacks.org Look under wish list for the items which will be collected the day of the show.

“We must always respect, remember and revere our military families,” says Michael Shain. Thanks to Yanks is a Milford based non-political organization whose goal it is to remember the events and heroes of 9/11/2001 while also respecting the sacrifices that our military and their families deal with on a daily basis. Thanks to Yanks next major event after the magic show will be, its 6th Annual Tribute Dinner, planned for 9/11/2012.

This magic show is provided free through a generous donation from Charles River Bank and Military Friends’ Foundation. WMRC radio will also be in attendance to provide additional entertainment.
