Michael Shain founded Thanks To Yanks in 2006 by establishing the first annual 9/11 Tribute Dinner. He began the organization with the desire to “simply say Thank You” to those men, women and their families who selflessly sacrifice to serve and protect us. Since 2006, Michael has developed many relationships with those people and organizations, who share the same vision to support our military members, veterans and their families. He is particularly concerned about Gold Star Families (those families who have lost a loved one as a result of military service to our nation). Michael has been recognized for his service to others receiving WMRC First Class Citizen Award, Milford Daily News Person of the Year Award and most recently an award from the Marine Corps League of Massachusetts. Michael truly lives by the words “to whom much is given, much is expected.”
