Donation drive for homeless Veterans
November 8 – November 11th

Help Hope for Heroes in collecting items to be donated to homeless veterans residing at various Veteran shelters. Sponsoring charity is Thanks To Yanks, a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families.

NOVEMBER 8 – 11, 2017
Drop off location – DCH Milford Toyota
300 Fortune Boulevard, Milford, MA

Donation Hours:
Wednesday and Thursday, November 8 & 9 (9am – 8pm)
Friday, November 10 (9am – 6pm)
Saturday, November 11 (9am – 5pm)

Items needed:
* New Bedding – Twin Blankets and Sheets
* New Towels
* Gift Cards – CVS, Target, Walgreen or Walmart
* Non-perishable Food Products
* Hygiene Items
– Men’s/Women’s Deodorant, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Toothbrushes and Toothpaste, Razors, Feminine Hygiene Products, Shaving Cream
* Clothing – New or Gently Used Coats (L-XL), Winter Hats, New Men’s Underwear (L-XL), Men’s/Women’s Gloves (L-XL), Socks, Sweat Tops and Bottoms (L-XL)

On the morning of Saturday, November 11th, DCH Milford Toyota will be providing free coffee and donuts for all who come in to donate.

Support those who have sacrificed so much for our country.


11th Annual Thanks To Yanks 9/11 Tribute Dinner Recap

The 11th Annual Thanks To Yanks Tribute 9/11 Dinner was held on September 11, 2017 and full to capacity. This special non-political was a free tribute dinner recognizing all military members, veterans and their families, including Blue and Gold Star families. This event was simply a way to thank our military and emergency personnel for the sacrifices they make in order to ensure our freedoms and safety while remembering the heroes and victims of 9/11/01. In 2006, the first Tribute Dinner hosted 120 guests and this year’s dinner hosted 440 guests. This year’s program included the following:

  • Flag Line with Patriot Guard Riders and Old Guard New England
  • Flag Tower with Milford and Medway Fire Departments
  • 9/11 Artifact and Badge of FDNY Chaplain Father Mychal Judge
  • Veterans Affairs New England Mobile Office
  • Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Dick Ferrucci
  • Musical Host, Mr. Ron Auger
  • Welcome, Mr. Michael Shain, President & Founder, Thanks To Yanks
  • Presentation of Colors, Old Guard New England
  • National Anthem, Ms. Shanna Jackman
  • Missing Man Table Ceremony, Young Marines 3rd Battalion S.N.E.R
  • Blessing of our Heroes, Father Al Faretra, St. Blaise, Bellingham, MA
  • Speaker, Ms. Lynn Patton, President & CEO, Mathew Patton Foundation

Back to School Supplies

Thanks to Yanks was able to help supply Military Friends with back to school supplies as part of our collection through Operation Homefront.
