We are always seeking volunteers to help us deliver our events and programs which support military members, veterans and their families. A little time and dedication can go a long way at our events.
Thanks To Yanks is currently looking for a Volunteer Financial Officer/Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. This position requires 2-3 hours a month, however, can expand up to 12 hours during fundraising season.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining financial records for donations and expenditures
- Depositing donations
- Providing donor lists to volunteer for tax acknowledgements
- Delivering treasurer report at quarterly Thanks To Yanks board meetings
- Preparing annual report for tax filings by accountant
- Collaborating with volunteers and/or board members for fundraising events
- Representing Thanks To Yanks as a volunteer at events

- Solicitation of donations
- Seek sponsorships
- Help buying and putting together care packages
- Help collecting and distributing back to school and holiday supplies
- Behind the scenes folks (mailings, centerpieces for events etc.)
