Valentines for Vets

Thanks To Yanks visited veterans in 2 nursing facilities in Milford, MA. They brought along Julie Wenck who sang for the residents. The veterans were also treated to cupcakes provided by Girl Scout Troop 30570, pizza and of course Valentine cards courtesy of the Girl Scouts and members of the Milford High National Honor Society. There were many heart-warming interactions. Mike Shain, president and founder of Thanks To Yanks, said he was especially touched talking with a 101-year-old nurse who described her WW II transatlantic journey to Europe surrounded by U-boats.

For one night only, join Thanks To Yanks and the live band XRB for a Beer&Bacon fundraising event at CraftRoots Brewing, 4 Industrial Road, Milford, MA.

Admission: $25 (includes a pint of beer and appetizers for both the bacon and non-bacon lovers)

Thanks To Yanks, a non-profit, all-volunteer, organization providing support and resources to military members, veterans, and their families. Over 93% of all funds raised goes directly to this mission.

A shout out to Red Barn Coffee Roasters in Upton MA, owned and operated by Navy Veteran Mark Verrocchi, for helping to supply us with coffee for care packages for our deployed. A wonderful taste from home.
